Normal Donor Set

Normal Donor Set

The VisuCon™ Normal Donor Set is a set of individual normal donor plasmas that may be used in establishing normal ranges for assays where required. The set is comprised of 25 individual donor plasmas that have been tested and found negative of HIV and Hepatitis by FDA-approved methods.

Features
The plasmas of the VisuCon Normal Donor Set are citrated, platelet poor plasmas collected from male and female donors between the ages of 18 and 65 who are non-smokers and medication-free. All plasmas within the VisuCon Normal Donor Set are screened and found negative for FV Leiden (APCR) and Lupus Anticoagulant. Tests for Prothrombin Time (PT), Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time (APTT), fibrinogen (clottable) and Factor II (FII) activity all report results within the normal range. The VisuCon Normal Donor Set contains a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis indicating the age and gender of each normal donor plasma.
