Deficient Plasma, Factor X – DiagnosticVisuDep-F Frozen Factor X Deficient Plasma is an immune-depleted plasma which is intended for use as a substrate plasma in the quantitative determination of Factor X activity in citrated plasmas using a clot-based assay. Principle: Factor X activity in patient plasma is determined in vitro through the use of a modified prothrombin time test (PT). Patient plasma is diluted, mixed with plasma deficient in Factor X and a PT test performed. The result is interpolated using a reference curve generated with dilutions of calibrator plasma mixed with the Factor X deficient plasma. Correction of the clotting time of the deficient plasma is proportional to the activity level of Factor X in the patient plasma. Features:
- Once thawed, VisuDep-F Frozen Factor X Deficient Plasma is stable for 8 hours on-board (15-19°C) or 8 hours at 2-8°C in original vial.
- Factor X activity level of <1% , remaining coagulation factors have activities of 50% and fibrinogen level of 1.5 g/L.
- Approved for in vitro diagnostic use in Canada and select European countries. Not available in the United States.
- Available in two package sizes: 25 x 1ml or 5 x 1ml
