Frozen Factor VII Deficient Plasma
VisuDep-F Frozen Factor VII Deficient Plasma is manufactured from normal citrated human plasma that has been depleted of Factor VII by selective affinity immuno-adsorption using antibodies directed towards FVII. This Factor VII Deficient Plasma is intended for use as a substrate plasma in the quantitative determination of Factor VII activity in citrated plasmas using a clot-based assay. Our frozen Factor VII deficient plasma has been cleared for in vitro diagnostic use in Canada and select European countries. This product is not available in the United States – see FVII-DP.
Presentation: Frozen Factor VII immune-depleted plasma with residual Factor VII activity of <1%. Remaining coagulation factors have activities of ≥50% and fibrinogen is ≥1.5 g/L. Plasma products are typically buffered with the addition of HEPES to 20mM final concentration and are available in 1ml vials:
- Box containing 25 x 1 ml vials of frozen Factor VII deficient plasma, Product # FRDP070125
- Box containing 5 x 1 ml vials of frozen Factor VII deficient plasma, Product # FRDP070105
Preparation/Handling: Thaw each 1 mL vial for 5 minutes in a 37°C ± 1°C water bath. Invert gently before use.
Storage and Stability: Vials are stable until the expiration date stated on the vial when stored at –60°C or lower. Once thawed, plasma is stable for 8 hours on-board (15-19°C) or at 2-8°C in original vial. Thawed material should be discarded after use and not be refrozen.
