VisuDep-F Frozen Factor X Deficient Plasma is manufactured from normal citrated human plasma that has been depleted of Factor X by selective affinity immuno-adsorption using antibodies directed towards FX. This Factor X Deficient Plasma is intended for use as a substrate plasma in the quantitative determination of Factor X activity in citrated plasmas using a clot-based assay. Our frozen Factor X deficient plasma has been cleared for in vitro diagnostic use in Canada and select European countries. This product is not available in the United States – see FX-DP.
Presentation: Frozen Factor X immune-depleted plasma with residual Factor X activity of <1%. Remaining coagulation factors have activities of ≥50% and fibrinogen is ≥1.5 g/L. Plasma products are typically buffered with the addition of HEPES to 20mM final concentration and are available in 1ml vials:
Box containing 25 x 1 ml vials of frozen Factor X deficient plasma, Product # FRDP100125
Box containing 5 x 1 ml vials of frozen Factor X deficient plasma, Product # FRDP100105
Preparation/Handling: Thaw each 1 mL vial for 5 minutes in a 37°C ± 1°C water bath. Invert gently before use.
Storage and Stability: Vials are stable until the expiration date stated on the vial when stored at –60°C or lower. Once thawed, plasma is stable for 8 hours on-board (15-19°C) or at 2-8°C in original vial. Thawed material should be discarded after use and not be refrozen.
